Art Galleries at Batman’s Alley and Nearby

Batman’s Alley (Beco do Batman) is an open-air gallery, but it also has “real” galleries, with works for sale and exhibitions. Many of them work precisely with artists who started out on the street.

Alma da Rua

It sits at one of the entrances to the alley, on Rua Gonçalo Afonso. It specializes in urban art and, according to the owner himself, only exhibits artists who already have work on the street. The famous Gatuno wings are on its facade. The shop sells magnets, T-shirts, stickers and other items featuring the artists’ works.

ZIV Gallery

Located right in Batman’s Alley, ZIV is one of the best-known galleries there and one of the sources for the history of the alley. It has hosted themed exhibitions, such as one about the Amazon.

Kobbi Gallery

A gallery focused on photography, opened in 2022 at Travessa Alonso, 23, near the alley. Admission is free.
